Black-throated Green Warbler, Magee Marsh, Ohio
The Black-throated Green Warbler's (Setophaga virens) range is across the eastern and midwestern states. In summer, the Black-throated Green Warbler migrates to Canada and the northern part of the United States. These warblers are found mostly in forests and feed primarily on insects. Magee Marsh, on the southern shore of Lake Erie, is famous among birders for the spring migration of warblers that stop over on the way to their Canadian breeding grounds.
