Old Faithful & Upper Geyser Basin at Sunset, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Pink clouds light up the sky behind Old Faithful & the Upper Geyser Basin at sunset in wintertime. Old Faithful is one of the most famous geysers in the world, as it erupts in predictable cycles of approximately 90 minutes. Yellowstone National Park contains about sixty percent of the geysers in the world, and many of these geysers are located in the Upper Geyser Basin. Old Faithful is so predictable and reliable in part because it is not connected to any of the other geothermal features in the Upper Geyser Basin.
