Flowers on Whistler Mountain, British Columbia, Canada
The Coast Mountains are a mountain range in Western Canada, extending from southern Alaska to southern British Columbia. Their name is derived from their proximity to the Pacific Coast. The range is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, including both volcanic and non-volcanic mountains, which are heavily glaciated. Whistler and Blackcomb peaks are both prominent mountains within the Coast Range.
